"Top IP67 Waterproof Micro Switch Suppliers in 2026: Where Each Supplier's IP67 Rating Stops"

2026-10-17

At an automotive lock, a charging port or outdoor automation equipment, a buyer specifying an IP67 waterproof and dustproof micro switch has several prominent manufacturers to choose from. Wired into the product, the switch meets water and dust at the terminals and lead wires as well as at the switch body. A micro switch sold as IP67 carries the rating at the level the supplier's own pages state, whether for the named model, for the switch body with the terminals excluded or a condition attached, or for the company in general. For each supplier on the shortlist, a buyer gets the group the published evidence supports, the applications served by the supplier's IP67 switches and the questions to settle before requesting samples.

The supplier's own page sets how far IP67 reaches on a micro switch

An IP67 claim on a micro switch is a statement on a supplier's page, and the page decides which part of the switch the statement covers. The rating on these pages is the IP67 defined in IEC 60529, and suppliers attach it to different parts of the switch or to the company as a whole.

Water reaches a wired switch at the terminals and lead wires

A sealed micro switch takes water and dust at its terminal end as well as at its plunger once the leads are connected. A body sealed to IP67 with the terminal end outside the claim hands that joint to your product's own sealing. Sealing construction closes those paths in more than one way, and how each method works at the terminal cavity and the soldered wire exit is covered in our article on which micro switch manufacturers use low-pressure molding for waterproof sealing.

Three ways a supplier page states IP67

Model-level IP67 is a model or series page that states IP67 with no exclusion or condition attached. IP67 with exclusions or conditions is a page that rates the switch body and places the terminals outside, ties IP67 to a step such as wiring, or describes water resistance as equivalent to IP67. Company-level IP67 is IP67 named in a company introduction while the model pages describe the switch as waterproof.

The group tells you where a supplier's claim stops on paper. Whether the terminals sit inside IP67 on the part you'll actually order is still a question for every supplier, the model-level group included.

IP67 and a safety approval answer different questions

An IP67 rating answers whether dust and water get in, and a safety approval such as UL, ENEC (European Norms Electrical Certification) or CQC answers whether the part meets an electrical safety scheme. Product titles often run the two together, as in "IP67 Waterproof Micro Switch, UL Recognized Component". Each one can be held for a different model, or for the company, so a request names the model that carries each.

A product listing and a manufacturer's page carry IP67 differently

A marketplace listing is a sale offer, and a manufacturer's model page is the record a part number traces back to. Listings and wholesale pages put IP67 in the product title, often next to a safety approval, and the same switch can appear under several sellers. The suppliers in this article are placed only from pages published by the maker of the switch: model and series pages, datasheets and comparison documents, and company pages where those are what a supplier publishes.

Series names cross catalogs as well. G303 and WS1 each appear in more than one maker's range, so a series name on its own can lead to another supplier's part. A request that names the brand and the full part number brings back the datasheet for the switch you meant.

Model-level IP67, IP67 with exclusions or conditions and company-level IP67 across the suppliers checked

Most of the suppliers checked state IP67 on a model or series page as it stands, Kangerle, Omron and Unionwell attach an exclusion or a condition, and Dongnan names IP67 at company level, with suppliers in alphabetical order inside each group.

Omron Components (ARATAS Americas)

An ultra-subminiature switch developed for automotive door latches.

Omron describes the D2EW as "born from automotive applications" with "water resistance (equivalent to IP67)", and the switch "was originally developed for automotive door latches." Equivalent to IP67 is Omron's own wording, so a requirement written as an IP67 rating asks the supplier for a direct yes on the D2EW.

Best for: Door latch positions with little room for the switch.

Where IP67 is stated: The D2EW page, as equivalent to IP67.

Strengths

Ultra-subminiature size aimed at door latches.

Described for uses prone to water and condensation.

Starting points by application: vehicle locks, EV charging, appliances and industrial equipment

An application is the second filter after the group, and each supplier's pages name the positions its sealed series serve. A supplier whose IP67 series already names your position is the quicker route to a sample.

  • Vehicle locks and door latches: ZINGEAR G303 for door locks, tailgate locks and charging port covers, Omron D2EW for door latches, Donghai door lock switches and ITW EBA SWA for automotive positions.
  • EV charging: ZINGEAR G10B03 for locking detection in charging systems, ZINGEAR G306A for charging gun insertion detection with the resistor inside the switch, and ITW EBA SWA for EV charging.
  • Home appliances: ZINGEAR G5W11 for long-term damp exposure and Dongnan WS1 for vacuum cleaners.
  • Industrial equipment: ZINGEAR G5W11 in the industrial heavy-duty line, Donghai motor control switches and ITW EBA SWA for industrial positions.

Named programs show where ZINGEAR parts already run these positions, with vehicle programs under automotive industry solutions and appliance programs under household appliance solutions.

Terminal coverage, the electrical rating and the full part number are settled before a sample order

The sample is where the switch first meets your position, with the terminals wired your way and the vibration and corrosion covered in IP67 beyond moisture and dust.

Question to settleWhy it's settled before the sample
Electrical rating, voltage and currentPicks the series and the contact rating
Actuator type: pin plunger, roller lever or push buttonFixes the mechanical interface
Industry or applicationPoints to the product line
Whether IP67 covers the terminals and the lead-wire exitAsked of every supplier, ZINGEAR included, since the answer belongs to the part number
Which model holds IP67 and each safety approvalTies every approval to the part ordered
Brand and full part numberSeparates series that share a name

On a ZINGEAR part proposed for your position, the ZINGEAR engineering team answers the terminal question directly, naming IP67 coverage of the terminals and the lead exit against the full part number before samples ship.

Once a sample passes, the project moves on to testing and mass production, and our guide to micro switch suppliers that support selection, samples, testing and mass production follows those stages.

FAQ About IP67 Micro Switch Suppliers

Does an IP67 rating on a micro switch include the terminals?

Each supplier's page answers it differently, and the record that decides it for a given part is the IP67 test itself. A test run on the switch with its leads attached covers the terminal end; a test on the bare switch covers the body. Asking which of the two was run settles the terminal question for that part.

Is "equivalent to IP67" the same as an IP67 rating?

Equivalent to IP67 is a supplier's own description of water resistance. The question that resolves it is which test the description rests on, since a part tested to the IEC 60529 procedure for IP67 can be stated with the rating itself.

Does an IP67 micro switch also need a safety approval?

The switch needs whichever approval the end product's market asks for: UL and cUL for North American end products, ENEC for Europe and CQC for China. IP67 travels with the switch into every one of those markets, and the approval list changes with each.

Is MICRO SWITCH a brand or a type of switch?

MICRO SWITCH in capitals is Honeywell's brand name for its snap-action switches, and micro switch in lower case is the general name for the snap-action type that every supplier in this article builds.
